Course aims: To equip you with the technical knowledge and practical skills to start making music right away that you're proud of. You'll also walk away knowing how to use Ableton Live to build your productions.
Who is this for: This course is for anyone looking to dive into the world of music production, with a focus on using Ableton Live as their main recording software.
Location: We've teamed up with Dream House Music School to run these courses, and as such they will be held at Dream House. Here it is on Google Maps.
Course Format: The course is run in small group workshops and split into theory/demonstration and practical components. You'll be able to start applying your new skills immediately in each class.
When: The 10-Week Beginner Course will be held once a week in line with the school term. We are looking at starting Term 4 for our next cohort. Exact dates and times TBA.

Meet your dedicated music production instructor, Tom Wormald. With over a decade of experience in music production and audio engineering, Tom's journey began at a young age when he picked up his first guitar. Despite the challenge of playing a right-handed guitar as a lefty, Tom persisted, and his dedication to music has taken him from performing in Adelaide to studying in Melbourne, and ultimately working as an audio engineer and producer.
In 2012, Tom delved into electronic music production by immersing himself in Ableton Live. Inspired by artists like Flume, he devoted hours to mastering the craft, eventually leading to the creation of full songs in just a day. Sharing his knowledge with peers at university highlighted Tom's passion for teaching and guiding others on their musical journey.
Joseph Cheek is a seasoned professional musician whose musical journey began at the age of 5 with piano lessons, igniting a lifelong passion for music.
Transitioning into a career as an audio engineer was a natural progression for Joseph, as it allowed him to work alongside talented and creative individuals in a studio environment aimed at inspiring others through collaborative music production.
With over a decade of experience spanning various music genres, Joseph's expertise lies in crafting larger-than-life rock, indie, and pop-rock productions at Island Studios, recognised as a premier destination for Pop and Indie artists in South Australia. In addition to his studio work, Joseph has dedicated nearly a decade to educating others, conducting music workshops, speaking at events, and teaching at university.
Joseph is a firm believer in continuous personal growth and lifelong learning, consistently expanding his knowledge in music, business, and personal development.
